Tasty pub fare (we shared a mixed platter.) Chicken wings not great but excellent beer list and perfect martinis. Very attentive server and lovely patio on a sunny day. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cock and Lion Pub:
We were ignored by the staff who seemed to be more interested in talking amongst themselves. We had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks. It was nearly another 45 minutes before our food arrived and it certainly wasn't worth the wait. There are much better places to go. View all feedback.
Went there for lunch with a group of 18 people, I guess they are not used to have groupes there... Got a club with burned toast, I could see it sit on the...
I can't complain, pretty decent pub in my opinion. Not a huge beer selection but ok. We went inside. it was dim and relaxed, a few older gentlemen at the...
I have been frequenting this restaurant at least once a month on Saturdays for almost a year now. The burgers are excellent, the fish and chips are great, the appetizers are enjoyable, the ciders and drinks are good, and the bartending is top-notch. The wait staff can sometimes get overwhelmed during busy times (after 9pm), but overall the service is good. The karaoke nights are fantastic, with a fun and enjoyable pub/den atmosphere. I love this place and it's sad to see all the old negative reviews, because I have never been disappointed here.
This restaurant is a typical 1970s-style pub, or rather a tavern located in a basement, serving the same common food as many other pubs in the area. Despite showing its age, it must be doing something right as it has a loyal group of regular customers. For a more upscale and trendy atmosphere, you may want to try D'arcy's located at the end of Sparks and Elgin.
The Cream of Broccoli soup of the day was the perfect choice for a fall day in the city. I'll definitely be returning to The **** and Lion Pub, and can already picture myself becoming a regular patron.
