This will become my go-to Thai place (take out.) Very friendly family-run place. Really delicious and fresh food. Portions are quite good and prices are fair. To be honest, I believe the food is as good as Nokham Thai in the west end. The mango salad, pad Thai and yellow curry with chicken View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Champa Thai Food:
This is mainly a take out restaurant, which we did not realize. We both chose a combination meal. We enjoyed the spring rolls and I loved the mango salad. The rest of the dishes were not great. I love pad Thai but only ate about a quarter of what I was served as it was not flavourful. Sorry we cannot recommend. View all feedback.
This restaurant has the best Thai food in Ottawa. Each dish is prepared with care and has amazing flavor. The quality is consistent. I wish I had found this place sooner, as I have been living in the neighborhood for years. It is now my go-to for take-out. I love this place! They are also really accommodating and kind when it comes to dietary restrictions. I am so thankful for that.
This was my most authentic Thai experience outside Thailand. Tom kha soup was so amazing. All the ingredients, nothing less, nothing more. The place is tiny, yet cozy. I did order a take out though. Fish cakes had a perfect balance between chewy and firm. Extremely happy with the place. Worth driving from Montreal! Thank you
I dined at a small family-owned restaurant and ordered a beef green curry, chicken basil stir fry, papaya salad, and rice for takeout. The staff informed me that they were very busy and it may take more than 20 minutes before my order was ready, which I appreciated. Although the staff was welcoming, it seemed they were overwhelmed as everyone waiting for takeout had to wait longer than expected. After paying, I ended up waiting 50 minutes for my order. The food, however, was excellent with perfect spice levels and authentic flavors that reminded me of my Thai friend's family cooking. Overall, despite the wait, the quality of the food made it worth it.
This used to be our go to for Thai and we would order once a week, however they must have changed something recently because it’s not as good. The spice level has decreased significantly. We ordered the pad Thai spicy twice now and it’s like ordering it from any place. No spice. Same for the panaang curry. Not spicy at all. Also they changed the satay and their peanut sauce. They were my daughter’s favorite but she’s now extremely disappointed that they don’t taste as good.A shame really
You can't sit there but the quality of food and service definitely makes up for it! Delicious food!
