The daily sandwiches are super tasty and affordable. I like to get a fresh donut for desert; they are toooo damn good! Also, the butter tarts! The family that runs this shop are incredibly sweet and deserve lots of business ^ ^ View all feedback.

What Brando Schmidt dislikes about Carp Bakery:
The bread and buns are great when you can get them. I have been here times to get buns; the first time their oven was broken and they were closed for two weeks. Went in early on a Saturday morning (during open hours)...and they were closed no explanation, and today went in hour after opening and the buns were not ready. I’m not sure I want to waste my time on another trip.... View all feedback.

Super Fresh and Fast service and GREAT choises. Short drive to the west end of Ottawa and nice little country air.

Everything here is simply fantastic. Not fancy, but absolutely delicious. It is truly the original type of bakery I grew up with and have missed, as most disappeared over the years. Their sandwiches are simple, but the best I've ever had, even beating out some...of the best places in Little Italy and downtown (in my humble opinion). I have food allergies and sensitivities, so I have to keep things simple to be safe; but, here I am not compromising flavour for safety. A small family run business that deserves every dollar you can spend. Highly recommend.

I quickly ate the plain chocolate donut first... It was incredibly soft and light. Amazing!

It's difficult to judge the quality of this restaurant when we arrived around 10:30 am and they were running low on items. However, we can confirm that the cinnamon buns we tried were delicious. They were incredibly light, fresh, moist, and surprisingly not overly sweet, which we found to be a pleasant surprise.
