We had made a reservation weeks ahead at this very small restaurant for a Cinco de Mayo dinner to kick off a girl's weekend in Ottawa. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation, and were informed that it would be at least a 20 minute wait, as they did not have a table for us. Part of our party ordered drinks while we waited. After 20 minutes, a server indicated that it would be another 20 minutes at least. She... View all feedback.
Ordered quesadillas and fish Tacos. Both were really good. Great food, very courteous staff and reasonable price
After visiting this restaurant a few times, I have really grown to enjoy it. While I found the al pastor tacos to be a little disappointing, with dry pork and inconsistently sized chunks of pineapple, the chicken tacos were fantastic. The sauces that accompanied the tacos were also excellent. My margarita was good, but I'm not sure if it was worth the $10 price tag. The restaurant has a charming rustic feel, but is quite small and can become crowded during peak hours. However, the service was exceptional and friendly, with staff always willing to accommodate customers to the best of their ability.
A very good restaurant .. food is like home made and authentic, the drinks are very good and service came with a great smile. I will be back .. if you are in the market and crave tacos .. go for it
Just went three for a quick $2.50/taco pitstop... Really bad experience! Very unfriendly staff, very bland Pastor tacos and did NOT respected the published piece. When asked Carlos (The cook) about it, he gave me a b.s. explanation. C'mon fellow Mexicans! We can do it better. BTW, they erased this negative review on other media platform.
This was our first meal in Ottawa when we arrived here for a family vacation. Stopped here for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. My husband and I had enjoyed the classic margarita, homemade, no mix. Himalayan pink sea salt rim was a nice touch. My al pastor burrito had great flavor with tender pork and roasted pineapple. The different sauces provided to each table were fabulous, especially the cilantro lime crema. Good variety of heat depending on your palate. Other entrees enjoyed by my family were veggie tacos and carnitas. My only complaint? Guacamole had too much lime juice. Juan gave us great service, food arrived promptly. Highly recommend this little taco and burrito joint.
