I moved to the neighborhood and went to this bakery. I was so happy to have a place like this close by, went here several times and will be coming back over and over again! View all feedback.
What Valerie Douglas doesn't like about Bread & Roses Bakery:
One of the best fresh croissants in the city but the samosas I got were dry and definitely not fresh. Even warmed up. Granted it was a Monday. But they should taste their products before selling them. Or sell them at a discount perhaps?!Also the price of a croissant is quite high. $2.85. Each. But it was still warm and buttery and flaky! Yum View all feedback.
Got a delicious and well-made iced espresso-based beverage. No tip prompt (not sure if that's usually the case) which was a nice change, especially because drink wasn't cheap!

Very good bread, and very friendly staff! They offer discounts for day old bread on Sundays and Monday which is great for budgeting. Their mocha brownie is one of my favourites
I wanted to like it, I really did. The food here is overpriced and vastly under delivers. I had a butter tart that may have been the worst I've ever had.
Have stopped by a couple times. Thr first time I got a couple pastries and they were absolutely delicious, the second time I just got a loaf of whute bread which I'm currently enjoying with some peanut butter. It's clearly fresh and tastes fantastic. I will certainly be back much more in the future, as the prices are fair and affordable.
