Went to the Rideau Centre for a little shopping, since we are from out of town we wanted to try something new. We saw Big Smoke Burger, even though the prices were a little steep for a burger, I convinced my wife to try it. We ordered the bacon cheese burger each and I had a side poutine with mine. I ordered the spicy burger in which they offered to cook it medium or well done. The burger was juicy but the patty was not well seasoned. Honestly I think this was the worst meal I've ever had? First of all, the ordering process itself was incredibly tedious.
The burgers and fries at this restaurant are excellent. While the prices are a bit high, the quality is definitely worth it. I ordered the classic burger with cheese, and my husband got the classic with cheese and bacon.
We did the poutine and it was great. The fries cooked perfect and salted perfect, the gravy has a really nice flavour and not to think or thin. Good amount of curds. They layered the fries and gravy so that you did not get gravy only on the top of the bowl. This was nice as eat bite had gravy and some curds each time. Prompt service and decent prices. Can't go wrong with a bowl of poutine from this place.
Excellent onion rings. Great fries. Burger kinda so so. Too thin and quite greasy. Had chipotle BBQ burger. Like that you can get frings (half fries half onion rings).
The burgers were so big and juicy. Very filling. Only needed a burger and I was full. Convenient and fast but not fast food fast. the food was cooked individually.
