We stopped here for a quick business lunch. Our waitress was fast and provided good information on the specials and menu. I ended up ordering off the specials menu and was pleased. They also offer Guinness at $8 (tall can) Its small and cozy but filled up quickly for a Friday lunch. View all feedback.
What Webster Harber doesn't like about Bibliotheque Cafe:
I had a very good breakfast, but I found it to be slightly overpriced compared to Nate's Deli down the street. However, I enjoyed the lunch and particularly liked the soup. View all feedback.
I really shouldn't spoil this hidden gem by telling everyone how good it is, because it will just get too popular. A cosy old-style reading room is the setting for this lunch spot, where the food is fresh and the servers are incredibly personable. Daily specials are reasonably priced. Excellent value.
I was staying at the hotel in the same building last summer so We went for Breakfast at this "restaurant". The place was totaly empty and I can see why. It was the worst breakfast experience ever. Everything was dry and had no taste. Avoid!!
This is connected to the hotel I stayed at so I had breakfast here onceIt was a mistake.
Pleasant wait staff. decent food. good coffee. free newspaper. direct access from hotel. semi sub ground floor level, but large windows light up well enough.
Stumbled past the Bibliotheque Cafe on our way back from Parliament hill. Had a really good homelike cooked breakfast. Service was excellent and a very quiet atmosphere sunken below street level
