We chose to stop into the French Baker for coffee and croissants, yet were intrigued by what would be served for breakfast in the bistro. It was worth our time to wait for an out of the ordinary meal, artfully prepared, but you can't be in a hurry. Come here for a wonderful culinary experience to accompany a lot if conversation to make the wait time pass quickly. View all feedback.
What Јевросима Софранић doesn't like about Benny's bistro:
We've been going to Benny for years, and I finally have to say the overrated place in town. It feels like nothing changes here. It is not terrible at all, but it is at best an average breakfast View all feedback.
I used to live on Murray Street and initially thought that The French Baker was a pet store because of their dog logo.
We have visited this restaurant in Ottawa twice for a week each time. They have a simple menu, but the food is delicious. We recommend starting your meal with a croissant and some coffee, then ordering breakfast and enjoying the amazing aroma from the kitchen.
We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food at this small restaurant for brunch. Despite the long line and limited seating, the wait was worth it. The friendly server and staff added to the overall wonderful dining experience. The efficiency of the small open kitchen was impressive. Bravo to the team!
The dishes are special and very tasty. Very recommended!!
While the food is delicious, service from Scott, the owner, was especially impeccable. He graciously explained the specials to us, replaced a glass of wine I broke. Between the excellent meals I've had here, and the service, this restaurant deserves a visit, and I'd return anytime.
