Contribute FeedbackBar Robo offers a typical Western bar/cafe experience with friendly staff and decent menu items. The decor lacks uniqueness, but it's a welcome addition to the Asian-dominated neighborhood. However, some diners were disappointed by the small portions and lackluster taste of certain dishes. Despite this, the coffee and cocktail scene at Bar Robo impresses with quality beverages and a cozy atmosphere. The transition from cafe to bar at night adds to its charm, making it a trendy spot for both caffeine lovers and cocktail enthusiasts. Live music events and themed nights make Bar Robo a fun nightlife destination.
Can't speak for the venue, as I didn't spend long there, though it does seem a bit smallStaff were friendly and their froot loop donut was great.

Bar Robo kills it for the coffee scene in Chinatown. They do a great job of balancing the cafe by day, venue by night balance. They have good quality European style espresso beverages that feature house flair (locally produced syrup flavours, real maple, and nestle quick chocolate-it works)! They offer a daily assortment of fresh pastries (double cookies, croissants, fresh donuts) as well as assorted light lunch fare (paninis, breakfast sandwiches etc).The coffee is high end and they have a fabulous Rancilio Espresso machine that rocks out epic beverages. They do brewed coffee, iced tea, fruit loop London dogs, and other caffeine type beverages epically well.I am most definitely more of a cafe frequenter but they shift to a low key bar/music lounge venue at night. Great craft beer and cider offerings as well as truly innovative cocktails with high end bartender flare. The cocktails are fantastic but do run in the 10$ plus range. You get what you pay for. Beer and cider menu is a great option for the frugally minded.Do yourself a favour and schedule your next coffee meeting here. They are so accommodating and without even meaning to you look super trendy.Owner/operator is frequently on site and provides the utmost care and attention. Band nights, and theme nights such as dub step and karaoke make bar robo one of the few night life destinations on somerset!Enjoy.
Funky little bar. Visiting Ottawa, staying in china town. Not a lot of coffee shops. This little place does good strong coffee, tea's and a little in house baking croissants and muffins. Turns coffee/wine/spirt bar at night with some very good live music. Nice to stop in morning and a great drinks spot before of after your meal. Glad I found it. Thanks!
