What Braxton doesn't like about The Caf:
the breakfast here was clapped. feels like you’re going through an airport security checkpoint just to chomp down on some hash browns Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.
Three years eating here. Never fails to somehow get worse and worse. Countless meals of plain vegetables and pizza, since everything else is not eatable. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: CA$100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Don’t let us take anything out, get yelled out by staff for wanting more than a spoonful of anything, machines don’t work, often rude workers, no good or fresh fruit ever, only cantaloupe or honeydew. Things have often gone bad like yogurt and sauces. Food is almost always bland and only seasoning is apparently pepper everywhere. Variety is lacking more than ever. Have to leave bags outside and there is no place to lock it, what if we live off campus or are between classes and have our bags stolen? They don’t careI don’t know why people think this is a good place it’s dehumanizing. Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

So, there's been a handful of incidents I believe need addressing, that the managers have known about and not acknowledged, or resolved. There was a member of staff who I named, that repeatedly made forward comments/very clearly checked out female students during meal times. After this happened,I wrote several napkins, asking for this to be addressed amd acknowledged. I named the staff member, I put up 4-5 napkins over the course of a week. No acknowledgment, and the napkins were taken down within half an hour. Two! Yesterday at the Deli line, a young man, who I also have the name of, came behind the station, and without wearing gloves, prepared his own sandwich. He handled several ingredients without the proper attire, and I know it was his own sandwich, but he was touching ingredients that were used in other sandwiches too. I told the manager at the time, she went to the sandwich station and nothing came of it. If staff do that where we can see, what are they doing that we don't notice? There have been several times that I've gone to the vegetable section, and the vegetables are moldy/ have literal living bugs roaming in the sections. I've gotten violently ill after eating here several times. If I had to guess, 4 or 5. If I could rate lower, I would. Edit: the Instagram account for carleton dining has been looking through my Instagram account, which I believe is incredibly unprofessional and very child like. Look out everyone, if you speak out, they'll look into your private life. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
