It’s just a fast food place so maybe 5 stars isn’t appropriate but the food is incredible, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Prices seemed reasonable too the plates looked huge I just had a sandwich and it was terrific Vegetarian options: Falafels Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Shawarma Wrap View all feedback.
What Céline doesn't like about Shawarma Palace:
Wow... super disappointing. My spouse and I have never had a bad shawarma until today. We got 2 sandwiches less than an hour ago, and they were soggy, super cold, and poorly wrapped. We estimate they were on the grill for 1 minute and assumed the employee knew what he was doing, but no. We heated it up at home to try to save it, and it was still soggy. Whoever is making those today needs to be trained again because I... View all feedback.
The staff are rude and were making comments about how I looked (about my body) in front of me while serving me. They said a few things assuming I would not understand, but since I am a Muslim woman I understood. I went on June 4th around 7:05pm. There were two men and one woman behind the cash. One man said “I have a pregnant wife at home”. The others started laughing and said you will go to “Jahannam” which is hell in Arabic. And then the man who was being rude and making comments said it was still “Halal”. No respectable Muslim man or woman, or people who look different should go to this Shwarma palace on Bank st. Went here for lunch today, I had no idea what I wanted but the sweet guy behind the counter helped and didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing (thanks buddy!! I ended up with a shawarma salad and OMG it's the BEST!! The serving is huge and SO tasty and for me is at least 2 meals.. maybe 3!! Next time I'm trying a wrap! I will definitely be back. You search up best food/shawarma Ottawa , and you 're inundated by people suggesting Shawarma Palace. I 've since learned that it 's *maybe* location-dependant, but being a franchise, some level of consistency should be assured- that 's to say, you should get at one what you get at others, more or less. Well, on a recent week-long trip to the nations capital, I made my way to the Palace one evening, ordering up their mixed shawarma plate, and wow, did it ever make a statement- that has got to be, hands down, the biggest single serving of food on a single plate that I 've seen, safely enough for two large, starved, people, to devour. But beyond the downright novelty of such a (borderline grotesque) portion, nothing on the plate really stood out, other than maybe their garlic spicy garlic sauce and potatoes- and I shouldn 't even say they stood out; it was only relative to the rest, which was entirely forgettable, and, frankly, well behind the best shawarma I 've had in Toronto. The meat itself- the star of the show- was totally forgettable; a real letdown after the insurmountable hype. Left more than half my plate. Totally meh. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
The shish Kebob platter that we ordered was horrible, half of the meat was uncooked and the other half was reddish. I usually order chicken platter but this time I wanted to order something different. Idk if the platter is bad in general or just this time they messed up but I would recommend ordering from another place. It’s been almost 6 months haven’t ordered from them but wanted to try it again, since they messed up last time too. This is disgusting, waste of $60 for the 2 platter’s that I ordered thru Uber eats.
