Went for some pints after work. The free chips salsa are a nice perk.Service was slow to start (shift change) but got much better. Nice spot, lots of parking. A little pricey for what it is. View all feedback.
What Samina Aziz doesn't like about Lone Star Texas Grill:
Nice patio at this location. Tortilla and salsa portion was so small and what happened to the queso? Fajita bowl was good but I recall portions being larger before. Service was fine. View all feedback.
We had the pleasure of having yet another delicious meal at the Barrhaven location on Nov 11th.We had dinner at the bar and were served by a woman with black/purple hair who was so friendly right from the start and happily took our food/drink orders. The food and drinks came quickly with all of the fixings!I wanted to take the time to write this review as quite a few bartenders were so helpful to us when they noticed something was wrong with our meal. Unfortunately I didn’t catch all of their names but “Red” specifically helped us with settling our bill and made conversation with us while the other bartenders “Curly” and another man with brown hair (didn’t catch his name) made light of the experience with us and left a great impression. Truly, everyone seemed so happy to be working that night and to be of assistance.Thank you to all of your staff for the professionalism and enthusiasm. This is why we love to dine at Lone Star so often!
Kitchen is filthy, they don’t care about keeping environments clean and healthy. For what you put in your mouth, there has to be a decent if not total cleanliness around the area. If you pick up food from the back, take a peek at the kitchen, it’s horrendous and and eye sore. The food isn’t the best and the atmosphere and dirty environment makes it less inviting. Makes me wonder how the food is prepared for clients. Shameful. People who don’t care about a tidy environment shouldn’t be allowed anywhere close to a kitchen let alone serve others what they eat. GROSS!!!
We visited on October 27/2023 to celebrate a birthday. As soon as we were seated our server Hammer approached us in a foul mood. Unfortunately his mood only got worse over the 1 hour we were there. Hammer was extremely rude and condescending. You could tell Hammer didn't want to be there. The food was cold, the beef in the fajitas was burnt. The manager was a lovely lady approaching the tables and asking about our experience.I am not one to complain. But this man was so rude, I mentioned it to her, and she was wonderful. I would like to thank her for her help. When Hammer brought us our bill we explained that there was an error. Then he huffed, and rolled his eyes and stomped away like a child.I will never return to this restaurant. I recommend you go to other local Lonestars.Unless you wanted to be treated like garbage and want cold burnt food.If you decide to go and are lucky to encounter Hammer. I would ask for another server.
We have been to many Lone Star Texas Grill. This was the worst. The server kept forgetting and came by to see if we were enjoying our meal, but when we asked for something, he said, ya ok, I 'll be right back and never came back. We had to keep reminding him what we asked for. In the end, he didn 't ask if we wanted dessert. Instead, he asked if he could bring us the bill. And then all of a sudden, to care about us as individuals, all to get a tip, I presume.Just because you are a server does not mean you automatically deserve tips !!You have to work for it, with each customer !!These are some of the things I look for with my server, in determining if he or she deserves a tip:Did your job well?We 're you quick? Were you thoughtful, thorough, kind, friendly?Did you go above and beyond?Did you do anything to help your customers have the best visit they possibly could?Did you make your customers feel valued?Etc.I, too, work at a job that gets insanely busy, and you wind up, running around trying to keep up. But you will never forget your customers!!This restaurant seems to be too small or just poorly designed. It was too loud, everyone talking over the next person. Of course, it doesn 't help that the bar is located in the center of the restaurant. There are no separated booths. So no matter where you go, you can not escape the noise. We will not be returning to this location.Wheelchair accessibility: Unsure as I don 't have nor do I know anyone with wheelchair. That said, curb to restaurant floor all the same level.
