We are vegans and found there were a decent amount of options for us. We left satisfied food-wise though a couple extra options wouldn’t hurt. And the pictures all around are pretty. But my oh my, is the place filthy. That was really disappointing. It doesn’t do much to inspire confidence in the hygiene of the kitchen and takes away from the beauty of the place despite the pretty pictures everywhere. Nice service, good food, but quite dirty, in my humble opinion.

The most unwelcome I have ever felt in my life? so apparently the whole place is run by one person, the chef, he handles everything (at least when we were there) when we ordered I only told him about two main dishes (we were 3 people) he told me that’s a lot of food?? and I told him the third anyway and the appetizer dish.. then he ignored me… and brought only the first two and the appetizer. I felt so rushed and the food didn’t taste that good, I didn’t like the beef dish. I don’t think it was cooked properly. because, of course, he was in a hurry. Overall I didn’t like the experience, the decor was nice but the lighting was not enough.on a side note: all the paintings in the place were by the same artist “Omar” and I think he’s the chef himself which is so cool.If he hired other people to help maybe I would go again.

Very good Middle Eastern restaurant.Met some work colleagues for lunch and was taken by the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to make food suggestions (something that bothers me at a lot of places where the staff is reluctant to make suggestions). My waiter chose the Kafta plate for me and the House Combo Special for my lunch mates. First of all the choices were perfect. The humus was the best I’ve ever had and the Kafta was filling and tasty. The House Combi was a delicious melange of tasty treats. The ambience was laid back and funky. Overall a great little place and I really appreciated the food suggestions.

A friend and I shared a Combo Vegetarian plate and a Fatoush salad for lunch. I especially enjoyed the Labneh and the Falafel. We had the rose water iced tea to drink, which was very refreshing. The service was friendly and relaxed and the decor is colourful.

Very good food! The Kafta is delicious juicy and so is the Falafel and everything else! The ambiance is very nice, the decorations are amazing, you definitely won’t find anything like this in Ottawa! The service is also very good.
