Subway - Orting
Subway
Description
At this Orting sandwich shop experiences swing from standout to disappointing: many praise fresh ingredients, friendly, energetic staff, clean dining and signature sandwiches, while others report inconsistent assembly, skimpy fillings, rude or understaffed service, online-order and refund problems, and worrying cleanliness lapses. Takeout and dine-in are available, parking is ample, but service reliability varies — consider peak times carefully. Overall, a neighborhood spot with strong highs but notable operational issues that temper confidence.

The only local Subway no longer accepts the coupons that are sent out in the mail. They don’t inform you of this until your order is ready. What was supposed to be a $17 meal ended up costing $50, and they still expect a tip. I will not be returning here again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Watched the 2 girls behind counter continuously short customers on the meat after we noticed ours was considerably lighter than the last time we had the same sandwiches at a different location. An older gentleman who came in after us actually called them on it, but the ringleader didn’t care. She didn’t even bat an eye. It was obvious she was bullying the other girl into whatever scam she’s pulling. I have been a loyal Subway patron for years because the food was consistently fresh and of a certain quality, regardless of the quality of service, no matter the location they were in. The food was definitely fresh and editable. But this is the first time I felt it necessary to say anything about the service because I found this particular racket unacceptable and possibly abusive.
As soon as we walked in the door, the employee asked if we ordered take out and we said no. She stated it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait because she was working on on-line orders and that she was the only one working. We walked out and your business lost a sale because your employee was rude and in my experience the walk-in customer should get priority over phone orders. You have one employee covering on line, phone and walk in customers. I understand people call in sick and it's hard to find people to work, but really bad management.
