Contribute FeedbackOx Grill offers a mixed experience, marked by fluctuating service and culinary delights. Initially, patrons encountered slow service, occasionally marred by cold entrees, especially steaks, despite the restaurant being less than half full. However, as the evening progressed, the service did improve. Positive highlights included refreshing cocktails and standout dishes like the Escabeche and Frog's Legs, praised for their flavor and preparation. An approachable manager and attentive servers enriched the experience, but staff communication seemed inconsistent. Though some diners left feeling underwhelmed considering the prices, the restaurant holds promise as it continues to refine its offerings.
The service was incredibly slow at the beginning, but it has improved. eating was good, but some of our steaks were cold. the restaurant was less than half full, so I don't understand the cold eating or the slow service.
I had customers attending our dinner at Ox Grill and I was embarrassed that I brought them there. The service was slow, not attentive, and just overall poor. Our food took forever and once it was delivered, one of the steaks we received was cold. The person complained, so the waiter took it back to the kitchen and then they brought it back out. Same steak, assuming it was micro waved. I took several customers out the next evening to Charlie's Steak House and everything was wonderful. The cost of the food at Ox Grill was very expensive and for sure we did not get our money's worth. I normally never complain, but this was bad.
Excellent personal service. our server remembered my name during our meal. eating was extraordinary, I would recommend this restaurant.
Staff was very confused and didn't get many things right. Our waiter was stressed out and not service minded. Harsh discussions between the staff is nothing you want to se as customer.
My wife and I were looking for something to do, so I suggested ICON Park; and, knew that Ox Grill had opened. I booked an OpenTable reservation; and, we headed down to I-Drive. The manager greeted us; and, also provided us with a discount coupon toward our food purchase, which was very nice Nicolas R, a very capable and affable server, took our orders. We started with a Lavender Smash for me and a Jack Mule for my wife. Both were very refreshing; and, not too heavy on the liquor, which is more in keeping with European sensibilities. He also brought out fresh-baked bread, which was superb! The packaged butter, however, detracted a bit They didn't have the full salad bar up, as that's only on weekends; and, this was a soft opening; but, I was able to order an item off the Salad Bar menu, which was the Escabeche (sardines with onions, peppers, in olive oil It was out-of-this-world amazing! I ate all of it; and, it was a substantial serving, to say the least My wife had the Frog's Legs, which were the best either of us had ever had; so very tender, so lightly breaded; and, so, so very, very tasty. The owner stopped by to check with us; and, she was very gracious, telling us about the plans for the restaurant; and, the work they were doing to get the place up and running (it's been a long build-out For mains, I had the Bacalhau (salt cod), which was tender, flakey and delicious. My wife had the Sea Bass, which sh very much enjoyed. To go with our mains, we each had a glass of a California Pinot Gris, which Nicolas had suggested; and, his suggestion was spot-on! I tipped generously for exceptional service.
