this restaurant is great! Eating is great, the personal loves what they do and our waiter took the time to teach us a little of the language and culture. very covered and not rushed. loved our experience and it was perfect for a date night. at the end they have the veggie combo and the coffee ceremony as it should be. will come back! You will not regret it!! I don't know where to start with Selam's from the 1st time I've ever visited I have received amazing customer service and good vibes across the board. Our server is ALWAYS so helpful in explaining the different items on the menu and always has a radiating smile that could turn even the most unpleasant day around. Dining inside allows you to embrace Ethiopian and Eritrean culture as they have art from across the regions displayed on the wall and around the restaurant. There is festive music playing and it truly is a culinary experience. I have been here with both vegetarians and meat lovers like myself and we have neither group has ever been disappointed. We usually start with the samosas (lentils, or beef) and then depending on the crowd we might start experimenting or get the tried and true combination platter. IT IS THE BOMB. It is a sharable portion for 2 (or maybe even 3) and it has so many flavors and textures to enjoy. I love the community aspect of being able to eat with our hands and share the experience with our friends and loved ones. Will visit again and again as long as I get to see the same familiar faces.
Wow! This place is outstanding! We were in town visiting, found this place, and decided to try it. Can't say enough good things about this place! The service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Prices were very fair, and the food was crazy good! There were three of us and we wanted to try multiple things, so we each picked a dish and they served them family style for us! Everything was very flavorful and tasty. We hardly spoke a word the whole time as we were all too engaged in the food. Loved the experience! Wished we lived in the area to enjoy this place regularly. Make sure you try the beer, coffee, and tea for a full experience. RECOMMEND! RECOMMEND! RECOMMEND! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Some of the best Misr Wot curries I've eaten hands down! The quality of food here is so good you'd want to keep coming back. The staff is also very friendly and the place has a very good vibe about it. We got a meat and veggie platter and it was enough to feed two of us. We also got some hot tea and it was delicious. Plenty of parking since it's in a strip mall.
