So a sweet place!! Seriously, I love it! The service was amazing. They poured our mimoses for us and greeted and sat immediately. The seasonal mumosa was peach and how delicious it was! I had the fried green tomatoes to Ed with a crab cake along with mixed vegetables and potatoes. I forgot what sauce I had, but it was spicy and had fish in it. So good! Had been here a few times but not for awhile, ordered the special lobster Benedict and my husband ordered the chicken and waffles. Came here on 5/13/23 for Mother's day/ Grandmother's 86th birthday with my parents and fiance. My grandmother had a blast and martinis! Maxine came by to every table and was awesome!! Food was awesome!! Service excellent!! I had the lobster ravioli (with benadryl as I have a dairy allergy) it was godly. My grandma had the ravioli too and enjoyed it!! My dad had cioppino and enjoyed it. My mom had trout. My fiance had filet mignon with peppercorn sauce and couscous. We had key lime for dessert ? and they gave us flutes of champagne and a spritz with it. All in all very delicious and delightful will be back and want to try brunch!
Crab Cake Bennie on a Saturday? YES !!The Red Sangria is an acquired taste but it grows on you ...very cinnamon-forward which was weird at first.Love the Vibe: service is always great...love having this gem within walking distance !
Amazing little place in a neat location, tons of character, the food was so good we have to go back and try more, had trouble choosing what to order because everything looked so good, and the specials were even more tempting. You know it's good when theside of veggies were delicious and cooked to perfection. Within minutes we meet both owners and had their personalrecommendations and off menu wine specials to order. We cleaned our plates and had to order desert, we received comp glasses ofchampagne for my wife's b-day and a personal toast from the owner. A MUST visit if you are in town.
Awesome vibes with great food and great company. Our server (Julia is her name j believe) was EXCELLENT! She was a wizard at remembering orders. Food was awesome. The artwork was phenomenal. No wonder this is a local favorite! They did however hustle usin trying to take our plates away when we were clearly still working on it. That was a little annoying.
Been meaning to write this review for a while now. We went to Maxine’s on Shine during Bite30 (I think it was last year) and we sat at the bar where one of the owners waited on us. Food was incredible, the food and drink pairing was spot on and the conversation was great. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
