The Thursday Special was fantastic! The salad was great, and they even offered free hush puppies. They sent out a generous portion of fried green tomatoes, which were the best I've ever had. The blackened salmon was cooked to perfection, and everything was served piping hot! Melissa's service was also outstanding. This is a fantastic place to stop by! Highly recommended! What Najuraas doesn't like about High Tide Harry's:
Unfortunately, our experience didn't meet the expectation. While the service was good, we found the food was so deep-fried, with an excessive amount of batter that made everything taste quite similar. The caesar salad was drowned in too much sauce, making it hard to appreciate its flavors. Moreover, it was surprising to discover that the same sauce (was wrapped in plastic) was used for both the appetizer and the main... View all feedback.
High Tide Harry’s is one of the best seafood restaurants in Orlando. My family and I come here quite often. We’ve tried many items on their menu, including raw oysters, oysters Rockefeller, raw clams, frog legs, cheese sticks, hot blue crab dip, shrimp tacos, crab stuffed fillets, shrimp and scallop combo, and captain’s seafood combo. They have some of the best raw oysters in Orlando. They are nice and briny, and clean. I tried raw clams for the first time there, and I didn’t like them. My husband said they were good. I guess I just don’t like the taste of raw clams. The frog legs are juicy and delicious. They tasted like chicken wings. The cheese sticks were extremely cheesy, and weren’t over breaded. The hot blue crab dip was delicious. I got the shrimp tacos blackened. The shrimp was small, but there was so much. They come with a garlic aioli, cheese, and salsa, and they were delicious. Some of the best tacos in Orlando. The crab stuffed fillets were very good, they just need to spread the crab more over the fillets. The crab was mostly in the center of the fillets. We got both of their shrimp and scallop combo, and captain’s seafood combo blackened. Their scallops are cooked perfectly, and not sandy. Both the shrimp and scallops are delicious blackened. The fish fillets could always be more blackened because they have a smaller surface area, so it’s not as strong as it is on shrimp and scallops. Their crab cakes are also good. Their mashed potatoes are some of the best I’ve ever had. They are buttery, smooth, and bursting with flavor. The service is always good. Chris is a great server. They also have a rewards program, and I keep forgetting to show my rewards info to them. They have daily specials, including happy hour Tuesday-Sunday from 2pm-6pm.
Great prices on fresh fish. The snow crab was very good, so was the grouper sandwich. Friendly staff with great service. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because all of our fried items had the same overall taste to them and were a little lacking. Keep this in mind and order on the lighter side and you'll leave happy. We'll be back.
First time checking out this seafood restaurant while on vacation to Orlando. Met up with some work friends who lived in the area and were a party of 8. We made reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. The decor is really cool and my daughter loved the sea themed murals on the walls. She also loved their music selection! We had gator bites, motz sticks, calamari and the blue crab dip for apps. Being a native Marylander, the crab dip didn't have the exact old bay flavor I was expecting but it was really good and a good portion we ended up taking some home with the other leftovers. The small kiddos got cheeseburgers from the kids menus and was fair, as far as burgers go. I got the raw oysters from the oyster bar and they were so delicious and came very cold with a nice tangy cocktail sauce. My daughter and her friend split the scallop and shrimp platter as well as a snow crab cluster. My husband had the fried fish (grouper I think it was) and he raved about it.My friends had snow crab clusters and sides as well as the clam chowder which I was told was delicious. After dinner of course we got dessert and between our party we got a cheesecake, key lime pie, peanut butter pie and the youngest got the brownie with ice cream which was as big as his head! Our waitress was amazing and handled our table beautifully. We did end up taking sides to go since they did not come out with the mains, but only minor mishap. In total for our 6, with several glasses wine, beer (and including the 20 percent added for our party size) our bill was about $350.Overall, great seafood that was fresh and delicious, great service and an amazing atmosphere! Do recommend!!Kid friendliness: Great kids menu
I had been wanting oysters so bad! Found this place and they definitely did not disappoint. If you are looking for a place non chain and where the locals go this is the place to go. Melinda the bartender was wonderful. Happy hour deals are so worth it!
What an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was spot on. We will be back soon Thank you for a great experience
