What pizz dislikes about Duryea's Orient Point:
Never ever again. We have a second home in Peconic for the past 15 years. This is our first and last time here. Filling out paper menus, paying first is like Sizzlers- we got the tuna tartar and asked for bread or crackers when it arrived only to betold sorry you have to pay for that separately. They ran out of the lobster we ordered and decided to tell us after an hourwait. This place is all about ambience not about... View all feedback.

Duryea's Orient Point often left me wanting more, especially considering the price versus satisfaction. The menu is quite limited, and since it's family-style dining, it works well if you enjoy sharing, but not so much if you have picky eaters—portions are too large for one person. Despite the upscale setting, the food quality didn’t quite match expectations. The tuna, burger, and lobster all fell short, though the french fries were surprisingly good. The location is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is top-notch. If you have a boat, docking here to enjoy the view is a real treat. However, the drinks menu is as limited as the food menu, and drinks are only available by the pitcher, not individually. The beach area offers beautiful views, but there isn’t much else to do nearby. It’s best to stop by for a couple of hours if there’s space and then continue on your way.
Wonderful ambiance and a stunning setting with a fantastic atmosphere. The service was impeccable. I enjoyed the Lobster Cobb paired with a lovely Chardonnay. Later, I headed to the Beach Club for a delightful White Burgundy. A truly great afternoon—I highly recommend it.
The restaurant is quite expensive, and I don't think the quality and quantity of the food justify the price. However, it is a charming place, and we did enjoy our time there. The ordering process is a bit unusual; you fill out a paper menu, take it to the register, and pay upfront. The food is supposed to be brought out to you afterward, but I had to ask twice for the rest of my order, as we found ourselves waiting with nothing to do after finishing our first dish. Additionally, there's a tip jar by the register with a sign requesting tips, which feels a bit awkward since it's before any service has been rendered, especially given the minimal service experience. The atmosphere has a South Fork vibe that feels somewhat out of place in the North Fork.
