Doc's Country Store - Opp
Doc's Country Store
Description
Tucked off a South Alabama highway, this mom-and-pop diner serves hot, home-cooked Southern fare — oversized pancakes, hash browns, bottomless sweet tea and memorable homemade ice cream — amid nostalgic Americana and on-site museum and country store attractions. Meals are cooked to order and often excellent, though waits can be long and service quality inconsistent; occasional pricing and menu-availability issues have frustrated guests. Ideal for road trippers and history-minded visitors seeking a cozy, historic stop, but not for those pressed for speed or perfect consistency.

Waited for Table because sign said to wait. 15 minutes later when No one came or even said we'll be with you in a minute. We left
Horrible customer service. All the workers act miserable. Then they charge you a different price then what they price on the wall says. Food was definitely not worth the money. Just go eat somewhere else.
Absolutely awful experience. We sat down down to eat at 12 and didn't get our food until AFTER 1. Should have known it was going to be awful when it took them 20 minutes to even greet us and take our drink order. No warning and definitely no apology. 2 stars because hubby and son said the burgers were really good. They have a sit down side and a hot food to-go area. I definitely would NEVER recommend the sit down side.
Great food and service! Love their chicken salad sandwich and homestyle fries. Take time to look thru the shop also. Plenty of parking.
