What Susan Cravey doesn't like about Wheelhouse:
If you only have one waitress to service eight tables (her words, not mine), you should not seat eight groups of people in the same area. I would have gladly waited to be seated than to have had the service my daughter and I received at lunch: barely warm pizza that was obviously ready long before it reached my table and not a single drink refill. Today was not a good day there. View all feedback.
I was staying nearby and asked if there was anywhere in Opp Alabama to eat. I think the choices were MacDonalds, A closed Mexican joint, or The Wheelhouse. Well, wheelhouse it is. Beautiful atmosphere and not at all what I expected in this rural part of the state. I ordered the Cioppino and was not disappointed. The broth was creamy and full of all types of seafood. I was worried as many bouillabaisse can pick up too much salt but this one was spot on. A delightful dinner made better by a staff who were smiling and obviously happy to be working there. If the staff is happy it is a great indication of the rest of the experience.

Delicious food, friendly service and a beautiful restaurant. I enjoyed the Wheelhouse burger and fries. My husband had the Tri-Tip dip sandwich with chips. We finished our meal with key lime pie. I recommend this restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
