The vegetables were all excellent as well; the green beans were super fresh, and the pintos had the thick texture I love. The mashed potatoes were as good as my grandma's, and the mac and cheese would rival the best anywhere. My son ordered the pineapple habanero wings and absolutely loved them. They weren't overly spicy, just packed with flavor. The cornbread was almost like dessert—it was that good! And the sweet tea was perfect! For dessert, we were so full that we decided to share one among the three of us. Based on Alyssa’s recommendation, we chose the lemon cake. It was wonderfully lemony, not too sweet, which was perfect for my son and me. My wife, however, has a sweeter tooth, so we might have to try the cheesecake next time for her. We will definitely be back! Folks, you’ve got to give this place a shot—you won’t regret it!

Like eating a home-cooked meal at that one family member's house who really knows how to cook. But it was slightly heavy on the onions for my preferred taste. My date absolutely loved the food, so it's definitely somewhere we will come back to.
