Was Cody M at Fernando's a mag?
We visited Fernando's for the first time on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and affordably priced. On the downside, the margaritas were rather small for $7. They had to use several space heaters to make the dining area bearable, but it remained a little chilly. The nachos were excellent, and we also really enjoyed the enchiladas, tacos, and chimichanga. My wife and I arrived at 6pm on a Friday night. They were extremely busy. There were a number of people in the front waiting for either 'To Go ' orders or to be seated. We were greeted promptly and put on the wait list. We were told 10-15 minute wait.. We quickly saw a bustling group of employees moving quickly. I 'd say from the time we got there until the time we were seated about 5 or 6 people came in and picked up 'To Go ' orders. We were seated right around 15 minutes so not a long wait. We were quickly addressed after seated. Our waitress took our drink order and returned quickly. We placed our order, my wife got the two taco plate with beans and rice and I got the Fernando 's Favorites plate. Beef Enchilada, one taco with beans and rice. We were served within 10 minutes of placing our order. Surprisingly fast, our waitress checked back often. Very favorable experience, highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Delicious food, ample serving size and super fast service.
We are from out of town, decided on Fernando's. Absolutley loved the atmosphere and food was just as authentic as we were told. CARLOS was our server and he was amazing! The place was packed and he took excellent care of us. If we come back through we will be back!!

First last time. Sign on the desk upon arriving immediately tells you to give the servers a break they at least showed up. Immediately seated in a large booth with a tiny round table. Took awhile for anyone to come over, despite seeing staff anda manager pass us. No free chips salsa, no biggie. Chips are DELISH! Best part of the dinner. Ordered: Chicken Quesadilla Chili Relenos No BEUNO. Chicken tasted reheated and from a pre sliced bag. Quesadilla filled with an over abundance of whatlooked and tasted like Colby Jack cheese. Chili slop was nothing more than a bag or two of cheese heart attack dish. Didn?tfinish either dish and didn?t take leftovers. Too much cheese covering the lackluster chicken. Dessert: Fried Ice Cream:DELISH Price: Fair Service: Slow Recommendation: Maybe not go on a busy understaffed Friday night. Parking is limited on busynights.
Fernando's has been a family favorite since before it opened. We've been going to El Bee's (same recipes, although the menus have diverged a little) forever, and we've been loving Fernando's, too. It's true, it's not traditional or authentic Mexican;it's definitely Americanized Mexican (with no shortage of cheese on everything). However, Fernando's does what I considerMexican comfort food better than anyone in town. Additionally, their fried flour tortilla chips are unlike anything I've everfound elsewhere, and they're so good that I get an order of bean dip every time I go to the restaurant. The enchiladas andtamales are also top-notch. Overall, they're just an excellent restaurant. Definitely one of my top favorites!
