Was Cody M at Fernando's a mag?

We visited Fernando's for the first time on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and affordably priced. On the downside, the margaritas were rather small for $7. They had to use several space heaters to make the dining area bearable, but it remained a little chilly. The nachos were excellent, and we also really enjoyed the enchiladas, tacos, and chimichanga. Just a few minutes later, all of our food arrived, except for the appetizer. When I inquired about it, the server admitted she had forgotten and promised to bring it out. When it finally did arrive, it was cold. I requested a new appetizer and waited to eat my meal until it was served. While I was eating the appetizers, the server asked if I wanted a box for my leftovers. She hurriedly brought the check and waited for my husband to sign it, taking the check immediately after he finished. Dining out should be a pleasurable experience, not a rushed one. I wish the staff would take their time and allow guests to enjoy their drinks and appetizers at a leisurely pace. It feels as though we're just a hurdle in their quest to cash out and go home.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and made sure to sign in right away upon arrival, as the staff seemed to appreciate the gesture. I was seated promptly at a large booth with a small round table. However, I did have to wait quite a while for someone to come take my order, despite the presence of both servers and managers. No complimentary chips and salsa were offered, which is not a big deal since the chips were actually quite delicious—definitely the highlight of my meal! I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and the Chili Rellenos, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The chicken in the quesadilla appeared to be reheated and came from a pre-packaged pocket rather than being freshly prepared. The quesadilla was overwhelmingly filled with what tasted like Colby Jack cheese. The chili was nothing more than a cheesy, heavy dish that I found unappetizing. There was an excess of cheese that overshadowed any trace of chicken. For dessert, I tried the Fried Ice Cream, which was fantastic—definitely a win. As for the price, I felt it was reasonable, but the service was really slow. My recommendation would be to avoid going on busy Friday nights, as it seemed like they were overwhelmed. Also, keep in mind that parking can be limited during peak hours.

The food was quite bland and didn’t taste like authentic Mexican cuisine. We were charged more for three people than what was listed on the menu. Additionally, paying seven dollars for a small basket of chips and salsa felt excessive. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Absolute disappointment. How hard is to mess a plate of nachos? Dried meat and burnt chips was just the beginning. Tacos were absolutely horrible and not too keen on the service either. Plates were thrown at us and there was a bit of a demeanor from the waitress. Won?t recommend.

Great local Mexican restaurant. Was able to directly on a Saturday night that was nice as we were on a tight schedule. Gluten-free options, excellent service and drinks! The marinated meats in the streets tacos were fabulous!

My wife and I arrived at 6pm on a Friday night. They were extremely busy. There were a number of people in the front waiting for either 'To Go ' orders or to be seated. We were greeted promptly and put on the wait list. We were told 10-15 minute wait.. We quickly saw a bustling group of employees moving quickly. I 'd say from the time we got there until the time we were seated about 5 or 6 people came in and picked up 'To Go ' orders. We were seated right around 15 minutes so not a long wait. We were quickly addressed after seated. Our waitress took our drink order and returned quickly. We placed our order, my wife got the two taco plate with beans and rice and I got the Fernando 's Favorites plate. Beef Enchilada, one taco with beans and rice. We were served within 10 minutes of placing our order. Surprisingly fast, our waitress checked back often. Very favorable experience, highly recommended. We will definitely be back. Delicious food, ample serving size and super fast service.

We are from out of town, decided on Fernando's. Absolutley loved the atmosphere and food was just as authentic as we were told. CARLOS was our server and he was amazing! The place was packed and he took excellent care of us. If we come back through we will be back!!

Fernando's has been a family favorite even before it opened. We’ve been loyal to El Bee’s for years, which serves similar recipes though their menus have started to diverge, and we’ve really enjoyed Fernando’s as well. While the food isn’t traditional or authentically Mexican—leaning more toward Americanized Mexican with plenty of cheese—it offers what I believe is the best Mexican comfort food in town. Their fried flour tortilla chips are unique and so tasty that I can’t help but order bean dip every time I visit. The enchiladas and tamales are also excellent. Overall, it’s a fantastic restaurant and definitely one of my top picks!

First last time. Sign on the desk upon arriving immediately tells you to give the servers a break they at least showed up. Immediately seated in a large booth with a tiny round table. Took awhile for anyone to come over, despite seeing staff anda manager pass us. No free chips salsa, no biggie. Chips are DELISH! Best part of the dinner. Ordered: Chicken Quesadilla Chili Relenos No BEUNO. Chicken tasted reheated and from a pre sliced bag. Quesadilla filled with an over abundance of whatlooked and tasted like Colby Jack cheese. Chili slop was nothing more than a bag or two of cheese heart attack dish. Didn?tfinish either dish and didn?t take leftovers. Too much cheese covering the lackluster chicken. Dessert: Fried Ice Cream:DELISH Price: Fair Service: Slow Recommendation: Maybe not go on a busy understaffed Friday night. Parking is limited on busynights.

Fernando's has been a family favorite since before it opened. We've been going to El Bee's (same recipes, although the menus have diverged a little) forever, and we've been loving Fernando's, too. It's true, it's not traditional or authentic Mexican;it's definitely Americanized Mexican (with no shortage of cheese on everything). However, Fernando's does what I considerMexican comfort food better than anyone in town. Additionally, their fried flour tortilla chips are unlike anything I've everfound elsewhere, and they're so good that I get an order of bean dip every time I go to the restaurant. The enchiladas andtamales are also top-notch. Overall, they're just an excellent restaurant. Definitely one of my top favorites!

I?ve always been a big fan of Fernando?s but as of recent there?s one big issue, servers rushing guests. Tonight I came in with my family of 6 around 8 pm (less busy time) and was asked when ordering drinks if we were ready to order. We declined andordered an app. When she came back with the drinks she asked again, so we ordered. Just minutes later all the food arrived, withno appetizer. When I asked about the appetizer she said she forgot about it and would put it in. When she finally brought it outit was cold. I asked for a new appetizer and then waited to eat my meal until it arrived. While eating the appetizer, she askedme if I wanted a box. She rushed the check, and waited at the table for my husband to sign the tip receipt, immediately takingit once he finished signing. People go out to restaurants to enjoy a meal, not to be rushed through it. Slow down. Let peopleenjoy their drink, appetizer, etc. Don?t make them feel like they?re the one thing standing in the way of you cashing out andgoing home.

Food was very bland, did not taste like Mexican food. We were charged higher amounts for the three entrees than shown on the menu. Seven dollars for a small basket of chips and salsa seemed inappropriate. Do not recommend.
