Lovely restaurant, looked after like family the service was second to none. Amazing food, we will be back very soon.
I brought my mum here who is wheelchair bound and we had a lovely lunch. It started well with lots of help holding doors and connecting with my mum in the chair. We ordered at the counter and had a lovely spot in the rear at a large round table where the wheelchair fitted under and everyone could sit and chat. The food came with sides and hot coffee, all of which was very good. So much so, we got a slice of cake as well but had to take it home as it was just too much. The staff here made us feel most welcome and the arrangement of seats facilitated chats with other patrons. If you’re in fintona, drop in. This town has been crying out for a place like this.
This is a tiny looking café alongside a Spar grocer but once inside it is a hidden gem. We joined the queue at the counter and selected what we would like to order, then paid for our food and drinks while one of us found a table. A waitress brought the drinks and then the food with almost no delay even though the café was full. The food was absolutely delicious and was a little different eg lasagne made with chicken, chicken with peaches. The price was much lower than I had expected and the portions much larger. We then went into the grocery part of the business to look for pear and almond scones and for Turkish Delight; in each case I asked a member of staff and both came out from behind a counter, showed me the scones and indicated what was in each; then she packed them for me. The person identifying Turkish Delight, called Rebecca, was equally helpful and packed each item into my bags without being asked. The whole business, café and shop, seemed to be staffed by people for whom nothing was too much trouble. Fintona is a bit off the beaten track but I would go back if ever in the area again.
Waited a little for a table but wait was worth it as food was lovely and comforting and the service good
Ok food and although not very expensive Certainly not cheap Not much Christmas cheer. Not even a mince pie
