However, they have been simplifying the... read more This review is for the bar area of a restaurant. The food can be good, and it was decent when I visited with two others. However, they have been simplifying their menu and have lost some of their charm. They used to have a separate bar menu and a really good burger, but not anymore. They also used to be open every night, but that has changed as well. The hotel is planning to be torn down, so everything seems to be on hold. Despite these changes, it may be the last independent restaurant in Squaw Valley, which is something to be appreciated. It is probably the best place to eat in Squaw Valley.

When I initially entered, I wasn’t sure if it’d be above my price range but I decided to venture on and try it nevertheless. I thoroughly enjoyed my squash dish, dessert and my specialty drink. I had theluxury of meeting some fellow patrons who were congenial and pleasantly conversational. Definitely give this place a try ifyou’re searching for a place to eat after your ski adventures.

However, they are currently offering a very limited menu due to Covid 19 shortages and staffing issues. They features lovely mixed drinks along with a full wine selection.For the entree, they offer various meat dishes, which are decent, but nothing to write home about, and notably did not offer thedishes that my family had a craving for from a previous visit. It is noticeable that many restaurants in the village areunderstaffed, and this restaurant is no exception. Unfortunately, it seems like the choices and quality of dishes are alsoaffected as a result.
