This is a popular spot for locals and the tourists who have come for the Sanctuary across the road. There’s quite a comprehensive menu chalked across several boards hung on the terrace. I’ve enjoyed a different dish every time I visit, even when I’ve made a rookie error – cabrillas are not actually little goats, they’re snails. There’s not much for vegetarians, but this is rural Andalucía so tough. When you finish eating, cross the road for a money shot of Olvera’s church and castle atop the pueblo blanco.
During our one-month stay in Olvera, this restaurant and its owners offered us unbeatable attention and service on each of their visits. The variety of tapas is very extensive and we had the opportunity to try almost all of their dishes. The presentation of the dishes is exceptional and very careful. PERFECT FOR A STOP IN FRONT OF THE SANCTUARY!!! THE BOSS IS CHARMING, KIND AND HELPFUL... PLUS, INSIDE THERE'S A BILLIARDS...THERE'S EVEN A TV!!! AND THE TERRACE IS A BEAUTIFUL SHADED VIEW FACING THE SANCTUARY: IDEAL FOR QUIETLY ENJOYING A REFRESHMENT... BEFORE YOU GO TO SAY YOUR EVENING PRAYERS!!!!!!! TRULY UNMISSABLE... Good place to stop and have something or eat, the beer super cold, and in front of the sanctuary of the Virgin of Remedies, very beautiful!
