Well, there we were in Moncarapacho on a Sunday looking for somewhere to lunch. Stumbled onto Rofito. Great little place. It has a small dining room with half a dozen tables although there is a bigger outside area as wall. We all four opted for the lamb chops. Good choice. They were succulent slightly charred on the outside and juicy in the middle. So, for 4 people, covers, main course, desserts coffee and 2 litres o... View all feedback.
Leah and Tina have taken over from the hard working Sylvia and her family. A very good start with the ladies serving traditional Portuguese fare with a liberal sprinkling of other European dishes. English breakfasts are now served for 9a paltry 6 Euros and generous egg and bacon sandwiches for 1.80. To continue the big change Roast lunches are now served on Sunday.....traditional with superb Yorkshires. It's only the beginning, so may I suggest bear with it until the trade builds up. The food is good quality as represented by the Portugueseceating there during the week, where they are averaging over 30 a day with the traditional Prato Do Dia. Unfortunately, they do not open in the evenings and close at about 1900hrs. This we have been assured will change as they settle in. Would like to give them 5 stars, but where do you go from there and as they know, the offer will improve. Best wishes to Sylvia, Rolfie and Danielle for doing the place a great service and let's roll on to the next success
Nice food, lovely tuna and onions with potato fresh veg. Also clams with garlic, very nice. Cheap as Chips! Service is very good, the son and daughter speak very good English. Well worth a visit in this lovely market town.
Had no idea what was on the menu,do not speak a word of Portuguese, asked for plato de dia and the young man seving imediatlely listed the options in English. One choice was octopus with rice which we opted for, unfortunately they had run out.The other choice was pork with beans, very tasty, broad beans in a pork stew. We had bread with olives, pork stew, egg pudding coffee and a half litre of very nice red wine. Cost for two was 15,20 euros. As we live in Spain for most of the year we thought it was a bit more expensive than we would pay in Almeria,We were not terribly impressed ,but a nice touch was the waitress brought us a plate.....made by Mama gratis, not sure what it was but looked and tasted like cold batter with a touch of sugar, fried and served cold.

Rofito's is a cafe snack bar, which can be very busy with the local people at lunchtimes and evenings. Offers a limited menu as it is a snack bar, however, Silvia has an excellent reputation for making pastries. A family run business with Silvia and her family working hard to please customers. Rolfie is a great asset to the business(when not at college), speaking excellent english. Triple(well very large) brandies 1.20 euros. Please remember it is a snack bar and we would wholly recommend this place if you are going onto dinner at maybe Antonio's and have pre dinner drinks here. We regularly come to Rofito's for excellent Galau's, brandies and pastries when available. Clean loo's and free wifi. We marked average on food, not because of standard, but because its a snack bar.
