Description

Shox is a roomy, old‑school sports bar in Toronto’s Junction that doubles as a casual hangout for groups, pool players and game‑day crowds. TVs, draft beer, affordable specials (burger+pint, wings), all‑day breakfast and a party room make it ideal for large bookings and laid‑back nights; staff are consistently friendly and accommodating. Expect classic pub fare rather than haute cuisine — hits include wings and fish & chips, while food quality can be uneven. Pool and vintage arcade add charm, though some equipment shows wear and quieter evenings can feel sparse.

This visit wasn't their best performance. I don't know if it is that Gus was away, perhaps they had a different cook in the kitchen or it could just be the impact of hyperinflation. My chicken wings were anorexic in comparison to what they've given me in the past, and the amount of hot sauce was non-existent. The Pina colada was good but hits better when drank outside in the heat. As usual, the servers were phenomenal and the inside had enough TVs to watch the game. I will be back, only I hope that next time the experience will be to the standard I've come to expect from this local eatery.

Sat on the patio here and ordered beer and food. The beer list is basic nothing memorable. The food was just okay. I wouldn't eat there again, to be honest, when there is so much better food elsewhere. The service was, again, just okay. This is a neighbourhood local for a casual beer and is not a destination unto itself.

Bartenders will openly be on their phones behind the bar while ignoring customers. If they don’t care about their job, why should I visit their establishment? Food is meh and you have to flag staff down to get them to take your order. Just kind of a yuck, old person, flick your smoke as you enter kind of place. Prices are reasonable at least. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

The place is alright for an occasional get together. The food is mid.ntheirbwings generally have a dry putter ring on the flats and dry outer on the drums. Plenty of seating space. Prices for drinks and food are decent. Servers/bar staff could pay more attention to guest it's usually just drop and go then wild goose chase to find them and order. They charge 20$hr for pool tables which is an extreme price. At least with that money upgrade your tables. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
