Contribute Feedback What Joe R likes about Ghigiarelli's:
They don 't answer the phone because they are so busy. I would like to address the comment from the customer who states the crowd is old and the place is not fun....well obviously she is part of the team that took over Revellos pizza in Old Forge which was at one time an impossible place to get a seat at even though it was quite dull and full of old people. However now it is hip and up to date but almost always empty... View all feedback.
What Ryan P doesn't like about Ghigiarelli's:
This placed used to be my favorite it's in a house they really only serve pizza. I asked for a slice of white but they only do quarter treys anymore. Not what the menu says. Pizza is thicker and more doughy than I. The past and now it tastes liked canned tomatoes with random hints of onion on a thick doughy crust with mozzarella with crappy service that used to be endearing when the pizza rocked. Eehhh pizza with cra... View all feedback.
Not sure what the big deal is about Old Forge style pizza. I'll take a nice thin crust New York style any day. We waited close to 90 minutes to get our tray of pizza at this place. Other people that came in after us got their pizza before us, and they were not overly busy. I was disappointed in Ghigiarelli's. We may try another Old Forge place just to make sure that we are not missing something based on our poor experience here.
(This is on 511 S Main in Old Forge, PA) One of the best in Old Forge, if you like your sauce onion-y. Great dough.
It is with regret that I write this review but feel it must be done for fellow customers. Have been a fan of this pizza for over 30 years almost exclusively doing take-out, ignoring what I was sure were sanitation issues there. (but hey, the pizza is sooo.... good) But that has come to an end after finding a huge black bug on the bottom of one the slices the last time we ordered take-out. Just cannot get past the actual proof of my suspicions. It was pretty disgusting. Good bye delicious pizza!
One of the oddest places I've ever seen. Pizza was alright, but so depressing in here. Drunk elderly crowd, that's fun. Canned cheap beer didn't dull my senses enough to ever return. Avoid if you like enjoying yourself in any way. Ugh.
Had some great red and white pizza and a nice visit with Vince on our way north to Binghamton this week. I've been enjiying the taste and smell of this pizza for 50 years, as my familyran the flower shoppe right next door. I renember many visits sitting at the kitchen table enjoying the exotic white pizza. It still hits all the right memories. May like the oniony, cheesy red best now but they are both so good! Really enjoyed sitting with Vince, talking baseball, WWII heroes, and the history of their excellent pizza. Come to Old Forge, enjoy the history, the local pride, and their super pizza!
