Anejo Modern Mexican Cuisine - Olathe

We ate there for the first time today, and I have to say that everything was fabulous! We tried the chorizo queso, street tacos, and the poblano shrimp. The queso and the poblano shrimp were the stars of the show, that chorizo is fire . Our server was the sweetest, the food came out so fast, and they have half price appetizers during Chiefs games

Food was good, but there are definite issues with the service from this restaurant. As mentioned in other reviews, there is no formal policy for the wait list. Because the person who put us on the list didn't get a phone number for us to call/text when the table was ready, other parties were seated first. Ordered the quesadilla special which. according to the menu, is supposed to come with guacamole, did not come with guacamole. When ordering the fajitas, flour tortillas were ordered but corn tortillas were provides. Not a huge deal but the corn tortillas are considerably smaller. After going through the corn tortillas, we asked for more and were charged for the additional tortillas. I would have been fine with that if we truly needed additional tortillas, but had the much larger flour tortillas been provided in the first place, we wouldn't have needed additional tortillas. I feel like this is a strategy to extract a few more dollars for customers. I reached out to the restaurant privately before posting my review, but after 4 weeks of receiving a response of the restaurant reviewing my comments and having a manager get back to me, I have received no response. To me, this shows the lack of value they place on their customers who are genuinely trying to provide feedback to a new restaurant. I didn't want any monetary compensation but just acknowledgement of the issues we had and how a plan for correction. Nothing.

The food was fresh, and was amazing. I have never cleaned my plate at a Mexican restaurant before. I also tried their house margarita, and was one of the best ones I've had. I will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone I know.

The atmosphere is very nice and classy. The service was fantastic. But the food was just okay. Unfortunately I did not have time to have an alcoholic drink, but they did look good.

Food is great if you're willing to wait 1.5 hours for your food to be delivered. Asking for refills then not noticing if we are low on chips and never coming by for another 15-20 minutes. Bathrooms are nonexistent as the women's bathroom smelt like an outhouse, no soap to wash your hands. Told a waitress and she proceeded to go in and didn't wash her hands once leaving. She then proceeded to grab plates of chips and food to serve to people immediately after leaving the bathroom. Waited to use restroom 15 minutes later and still no soap. Just be prepared to wait this long to get your food and service. Just not organized well. A guy is sitting at the bar and pour drinks for people then helping servers deliver them to tables. He doesn't have employee work wear on and is grabbing shots by putting his fingers on the rim of the glass.
