Corner Cafe - Ogunquit
Corner Cafe
Description
Nestled in Perkins Cove, this family-run breakfast spot radiates Maine charm with homemade classics—omelets, crab cake Benedict, corned beef hash and waffles—served by warm, attentive hosts. The cozy, spotless interior, window seats with pier views and a fireplace create a relaxed, intimate atmosphere; expect short waits at peak times. Space is tiny and prices trend moderate-to-high, and the café is cash-only (ATM on site). A welcoming, flavorful local staple worth returning to.

Upon arrival, you are welcomed by either the owner or one of the friendly staff members, all eager to make your meal a delightful experience. The decor reflects Maine's charm, with impeccably clean floors that shine. If you choose a window seat, you'll be treated to views of people strolling down to the pier and the lovely flowers in the window boxes. The omelets are fantastic, as are the crab cakes, eggs benedict, and homemade waffles. It's a family-friendly spot, and I can confidently say that you'll want to return during your next visit to the area. There's also a charming store right across the street where you can browse while waiting for your table. Both owners have deep roots in Maine, and this connection is evident in both the food and the service. After trying all the breakfast places in the area, I can say that they simply cannot compare.
The restaurant offers a beautiful view, delicious food, and a charming fireplace. However, the drawbacks include slightly high prices and the seats can get a bit dirty as the day progresses.
We wanted breakfast at Café Cove on the way to Boston from vacation in Kennebunkport, but they were really busy. Since it was a rainy day, they could not eat outdoors, it is tiny. Disappointed because we read great reviews about it. Decided to return to this sweet café in charming Perkins Cove, we made the 1 1/2 trip to Ogunquit last weekend were not sad! Since we were there 15 minutes before closing, it was not to do, we immediately have a table outside. Service was fast our omelet were delicious. Loved the well seasoned potatoes with it. We saw someone at the next table who ordered a few things when I get their breakfast sandwiches because they looked so good!
To capture the size of our experience, I would compare it to being included in a warm loving family for a holiday festival. The extraordinary care in preparing and serving a devine meal. I'm still in five paws from Toby. Thank you very much
