Was Mike Dociu at Caffe Prego a mag?
I was initially thinking of giving this restaurant four stars because of the limited selection of chardonnays. Although they didn’t charge us for it, it was still a letdown. However, everything else was exceptional, so I have to give it five stars. The lobster dish was remarkable, and the chicken saltimbocca panini was delightful. The pizza was outstanding as well! What Jean-François Caron dislikes about Caffe Prego:
The arancinis and Brussels sprouts were quite delicious, although a bit on the salty side. The chicken parmigiana was alright, but it could have been less soggy. The pasta sauce was flavorful, and the gelato was fantastic! However, the pizzas were just mediocre. View all feedback.

Great pizza at a fair price. Good drinks and good service. Nice outdoor patio even if it was raining.
It has been quite a few years since I was here but I remember the Gelato being pretty good. So we tried to get some Gelato and a drinks and we were rudely told unless you get a meal you cannot dine, but have to go to the patio and eat there. Ok, we'll comply though we saw other people with just drinks at tables. Anyways we were mostly looking good for good gelato. I got the maple and my wife chocolate. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was THE WORST gelato I have ever had. Yes, we're spoiled with good gelato from Italy and a very special place in Portland Maine but this was down right awful. It tasted like I was eating raw dough with a couple walnuts. My wife's had ice chunks in it. Horrible and not worth ever ever going back for.
We love this place. Maybe one of the best Ogunquit restaurants. Gelato bar is great too.
Stopped in after a long walk along the coast, a total must-see by the way! The cafe staff were friendly and quick to sit us down and serve us which was a huge plus. Some of the food we ordered, however, lacked a little bit of flavor. The margarita pizza tasted a bit bland which was a let down, my boyfriends panini was pretty okay, he had the Saltimbocca panini.
We visited the weekend before they closed for the season, so not everything on the menu was available. However, we still had a fantastic experience! We began with the salad, which was incredibly delicious—the ingredients were super fresh and flavorful. Next, we ordered a pizza, and each slice had a unique topping. I particularly loved the mushroom one. The pizza itself was very tasty. We also tried a shrimp pasta, which was great as well. I would definitely return!
Caffe Prego in Ogunquit offers a vibrant atmosphere with a diverse menu, but experiences vary significantly. Diners often rave about the gelato and standout dishes like lobster and shrimp pasta, with some praising the Margherita Bianca pizza as truly authentic. However, inconsistencies in food preparation surfaces, with pizzas lacking flavor and some small plates falling short. Customer service issues have been noted, with lengthy waits and inattentive staff hindering the overall experience. While the ambiance and location are appealing, the range of flavors and service quality need refinement to ensure a satisfying visit for all diners.

A very beautiful place with a good view of the main road. We tasted the vanilla and mint chocolate ice cream, the ice creams were well and generously served, its shame that the selection of flavors is limited. The cold coffee was excellent. A recommended place for a pleasant lunch break.
For the very best Italian food Ever this is the place. The Patio restaurant owner Tony highly recommended Caffe Preggo. We was spot on. The owner Zake made us feel like family ant the food was the best I've ever had. Both restaurant owners showed us they truly wanted our best visit over just our money. This means a lot to Olga and i
Caffe Prego serves the most amazing roasted butternut squash salad. They also make a terrific four cheese pizza. Dine inside or on the covered porch.
The food is excellent. Service was incredible and the food is really affordable for Ogunquit. Their deck is extremely comfortable even when it's hot outside. Has options for everybody!
Beautiful atmosphere...excellent service delicious food! So relaxing... they also make their own Gelato. Yum

A perfect lunch. The chicken Saltimbocca was delicious, pasta salad side just as tasty. Karen took took care of us impeccably. All sweetened with one of my favorite southern Italy wines. Wish we had sampled this restaurant earlier in our vacation!
Stoped in for lunch. Great atmosphere! Had the eggplant dish, gnocchi, bologna?s, and pizza Bianca. Everything was excellent!
The food, dessert, and coffee here are absolutely outstanding! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I had a salad, lobster cannelloni, a carrot cupcake, and a mocha latte, and everything was incredible. The lobster in the cannelloni was generous, with plenty of chunks. They even make their own pasta on site. The carrot cupcake wasn’t too sweet, and the mocha latte was perfectly balanced. I visited early for dinner with my dog, and since it was not very busy, they kindly brought her a bowl of water once we sat down. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant!
