Recently, the nearby Hotel Sonne closed (not the similarly n... read more Staying in Zell Weierbach and not wanting to drive into Offenburg, a Saturday night is a poor show. Recently, the nearby Hotel Sonne closed (not the similarly named one in Offenburg). Zeller Brugg is closed on Saturdays. That leaves a choice of Donna Selvatica where...we'd been previously. Time to try this Thai restaurant! It wasn't a great experience. Completely unlike any other previous Thai restaurant experience. Nothing 'wrong' but nothing 'right'. I don't know if the food has been turned down to suit local palates or the chef has lost their way. But it looks like they should visit a Thai restaurant in Edinburgh, Berlin, Stuttgart or...Thailand. Odd, flavourless and 'warm' not hot food. Only one of the dishes had any hint of 'spice'. Spice should not mean just loaded with chilli, but at ordering the business owner asked if we wanted spicy or not. Difficult. How much is how much? He said they could make it non-spicy. We both asked for spicy. Really bland. A difficult one, but we presume that perhaps the owner's wife is Thai. We didn't see anyone who was from Thailand. The man who served us we presume is Herr Ehrhardt, not Thai. Really can only say if you like Thai food, based on tonight's visit you won't be impressed

I don't know if the food was put on the local palate or the cook lost it. but it looks like they should visit a Thai restaurant in edinburgh, berlin, stuttgart or...Thailand odd, tasteless and warm not hot eating. only one of the courts had a hint on spicy. should not mean, only loaded with chili, but when ordering the contractors asked whether we seasoned or not. hard. How much does it cost? He said they couldn't suspect it. we both asked for spicy. really slandered. a difficult, but we suspect that maybe the owner's wife is thai. we haven't seen anyone coming from Thailand. the man who served us is herr ehrhardt, not thai.
