The Flying Melon - Ocracoke

If you are looking for fine food with up to land appeal, this is the place. If there are five people or more, they recommend reservations. Be ready to release the wallet a little, and feel good about it when the evening ends. Flying Melon is a multiple course eating experience. The bar prepares well prepared mixed drinks. Baked green tomatoes on the apps list are not to be missed. Fresh seafood selections are favorites, although the fillet mignon selections are also delectable. Find space for Dessert. The most important lime cakes and chocolate cakes are especially decadent. As such a facility, the staff goes out of the way to bring an unforgettable evening. Treat yourself to an unforgettable culinary experience in an unforgettable place.

Ambience perfect. Service excellent. Great appetizer drinks. Appetizers perfectly prepared. Our Entrées will always be remembered; we can still imagine the aromas of the rubber bomb. The desert is in the house. We'll take the 6 hours drive to eat here again.

We were enjoying a long weekend in Ocracoke and had dinner here Saturday evening. The service was superior and I would like to give accolades to Daniel our server for the excellent job he did. He is a nice young man. The food was excellent. We had the blackened sheepshead and Yellow Fin Tuna with Oysters Bienville for an appetizer. I wanted to try the Key Lime Pie (which looks absolutely amazing) but just did not have room for it. Thank you to the Flying Melon and to Daniel for a most memorable evening.

Without a doubt, the most amazing dining experience we’ve ever had on Ocracoke. From the food, to the service, to the decor, everything was perfect. Even the overly boisterous group of men here for the fishing tournament couldn’t rain n this experience!

Upscale food on the island. Food is delicious, but portions were a little small. Seasonal mixed drinks were great too. Highly recommend.
