Catrina's - Oberlin
Catrina's
Description
Tucked into downtown Oberlin, this Mexican spot charms with Frida Kahlo–inspired decor, punchy guacamole and standout tacos (chipotle pork, cochinita pibil), plus indulgent desserts like Xango. Diners praise authentic flavors and reasonable portions, while opinions split on pricing and margaritas. Service can be warm but inconsistent; the restaurant is family-friendly and a lively casual choice for locals and visitors. With a developing liquor license and an evolving menu, it’s a promising, flavorful addition to the neighborhood’s dining scene.

Excellent place, I love the decoration and the Mexican style. The service is good and friendly and the owner is polite and always ask if we need something. We ordered Tacos de cochinita pibil and fajitas, both were delicious and the same taste as in Mexico. For drinking we ordered agua de horchata and for Dessert xango both fantastic.
This place is a gem, the food is excellent, the atmosphere is covered, I am addicted to her guacamole. ... Put your hands down what I've ever had!
The first time at this point, used to agave and unfortunately it is no longer in Oberlin. Great food and service, worth a visit!
Sat at the bar, bartender looked right at us, and just chatted to a guy eating at the bar, she looked straight at us again, never asked if we wanted anything, so we stood up and left. So bizarre!! Now we know why there was hardly anyone there AND why they have a help wanted sign. Friday the 26th, around 8pm
