I discovered a charming little seafood spot that serves delightful snacks. The lady at the front is incredibly friendly and prepares everything beautifully. The seafood is fresh and reasonably priced (considering we’re still in the UK). I recommend arriving early in the day to ensure you can try everything they have, as they tend to sell out quickly. I’m so glad they reopened before my Obon visit! It was very busy when I went, but the prices for such high-quality seafood are excellent. I even got to sample some clams for free while I waited in line! I can't recommend this place enough. While you might have to wait a bit since they seem quite busy, I assure you, that wait is definitely worth it!
What more can I say about this place? I visited twice during my four-day stay in Oban, and it was fantastic! The seafood platter for two is incredible—those were the sweetest prawns I've ever tasted, and the langoustines were heavenly. On my second visit, I even ordered them for myself because they were that good. The oysters were so fresh and sweet, and at such a great price that I had them twice! The scallops were massive! I also tried the crab sandwich, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The staff were so lovely as well. I can't wait to come back this year!
If they ever get the chance to travel Scotland. visit oban and visit Scottish famous local seafood stall. I called the green iron. only near the railway station and ferry port. friendly owner. Let's try it before you buy it. cooks to order fresh. we visited all the way from sheffield.
Super fresh and very affordable no frills seafood in the middle of Oban! Oysters are a must. Grand platter full of luscious sweet seafood comes highly recommended.
