What User doesn't like about El Mare:
Hilariously over-salted recipes. Not a one-time thing—we want to like this place and tried more than once. If you love a lot of salt, this is your place. When they remember to turn it on, the good playlist gives this pretty place a nice vibe. Though every table has four chairs, El Mare does not accept parties of four. View all feedback. Best pasta in Mexico. Tried the Arrabbiata, Prosciutto y crema, and Bolognese. All divine. The wine selection is decent, but nothing spectacular. The Mezcales selection is better and it is the only place in the city where you can buy bottles from Mezcal. The atmosphere is cozy and warm with great jazz and blues play soft in the background.
