The wonton noodle soup was particularly outstanding for the price, and the spare ribs served with paprika and black bean sauce over rice were also quite tasty. I'm looking forward to having fresh char siu pork and roasted duck. They also serve large bowls of wonton soup and generous rice plates.
I give this restaurant five stars for the overall experience! It's a charming little spot that's a bit greasy, but it truly captures the diversity of life in the Bay Area. You'll find families, people of all races including Black, White, Latino, and Asian folks, as well as night workers and cops. The noodle dishes are fantastic! Plus, it's very affordable. I've been going there for over 20 years, especially enjoying it late in the evening.
The best restaurant in the cantonese style in Oakland. Very recommended!
