read moreSpices 3, a once-beloved gem in Oakland, has become a mixed dining experience for many patrons. While it still offers an enticing menu featuring Sichuan delights like chicken wings and hot pots, recent quality fluctuations and service issues have raised concerns. Enthusiastic dishes such as the crispy duck and ma po tofu showcase generous portions and rich flavors. However, some diners report frequent order mix-ups and unsatisfactory customer service. The cozy ambiance and vibrant decor continue to attract customers, particularly for those who enjoy sharing spicy plates. Cash-only transactions add a quirky touch to this evolving culinary destination.
