Shogun Japanese Sushi Grill - Oakland

I had the Nabe Udon. It was delicious and they included a couple little appetizers I didnt order. It was a nice touch.

This sushi restaurant is now my top favorite. When I saw the price of 6 pieces for $14 at first, I was skeptical. However, after tasting the quality ingredients and thickly sliced pieces, I understood why. I can't stop thinking about the delicious yellow submarine roll even a week later. If you plan on sharing, make sure to order multiple rolls!

The salmon teriyaki at this restaurant in Oakland is possibly one of the best values around. It's easily enough to share between two people, and the quality is top-notch, cooked to perfection.

I received a DoorDash gift card and was craving sushi, so I decided to order from Shogun last week. I was very impressed with the freshness and size of the sashimi, maguro, and sake. We also tried the Creamy Orange, Ice on Fire, and Green Spider rolls, all of which were delicious and generously portioned. To my surprise, our order also included miso soup and tempura veggies, which I initially thought was a mistake. However, when I called Shogun, they informed me that these extras were complimentary. The tempura veggies had a light batter and were still crispy when they arrived. Not only was our order delivered within 30 minutes, but the fish was incredibly fresh and the rolls were tasty. We ordered from Shogun again that night and received egg rolls and edamame on the house. Overall, a fantastic experience with Shogun - A+!
