Iâve been to Shakewell previously the only reason I donât go more often is the noise levels are outrageous. Surely an acoustics expert could make some simple recommendations for reducing the high decibel noise level. Itâs a major detractor. Itâs just not fun to have to shout at oneâs dining companion(s). But the food is fantastic, itâs just not relaxing to eat amidst so much noise.
Food and service were great. Enjoyed the art and lighting. It was very loud inside and I couldn't hear well. Also, I tend to not enjoy having a TV visible, since I'm distractible. If you have good hearing and don't mind a TV visible in a restaurant, then you'd probably give this place stars.
