Ok's Deli - Oakland

I must finally try this place after I disappeared on the popup. I had the fried chicken sandwich. While it is a very good roast chicken sandwich, I expected more seasoned, which I normally do not eat spicy and it is also quite expensive at 16. it was very crispy and the bungalow was fresh and soft, but I prefer hotboys, so I will stick to it and save a few dollars in this process. my missus has the spambahn mi. this was also solid, but for the price I expected more and will stay in the future on traditional, 6 track mi.

Bless this place! another business in the city that is brought to them by a native! I have the hot veruan chicken sandwich! highly recommended. if you're chewing because you think it's too spicy for you, then I can tell you it's tolerable and manageable for you when your tolerance for odor is low. the brot is hella good, I would buy the brot myself if I can! they don't do any phone calls or online orders, hopefully at some point, but it's easy to place an order. they wait in the line, put their order, wait outside, just don't sit on the table and chair from the other business, then bring their order to them. the staff are friendly and nice!

The chicken sandwich is the best I ever had. I'm back on the ass. that's worth it.

Spam Mi: 3.5/5 - The pickled vegetables could use a touch of sweetness as they're quite vinegary, making for a less enjoyable flavor experience. The house-made spam is impressive and delicious, though it might shine more in a musubi where it can take the spotlight. I couldn't find the jalapeño, which is fine for me, but spice lovers might want to request extra. The bread was nice and crusty, and I appreciate the thin cucumber strips instead of traditional sticks. Sesame Kinako Cookie: 4/5 - A massive cookie? Who doesn't love it? Kinako is a unique flavor, but I didn’t taste much sesame in it. Maybe it's just me. Overall, I'm excited to return for the hot chicken and can't wait to try some classic sandos, including the egg sando, next time!
