Went on a weeknight and the place wasn't packed. We ordered the nigiri combo (chef's choice), maki roll, and matcha cheesecake. I noticed that each nigiri has wasabi in them. Though I am not a huge fan of wasabi, I didn't mind them. The matcha cheesecake was rich and smooth, but a bit on the smaller side. Overall, great quality for the price! View all feedback.
What Eliza J doesn't like about Mujiri:
I want to love this place but I’m not sure the quality is there for the price point the pieces are also tinnnnny paid $53 for this and don’t feel it was worth it via DoorDash Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 View all feedback.
Great place to go for delicious omakase. Pair it with a cold sake for the perfect dining experience.
Mujiri is a gem; we've been frequenting them almost weekly for the past few months and we couldn't be more pleased and stoked to give them 5 stars. The service is incredible, to name drop both Jenny and Camilla for their awesome hospitality. The rice is top notch, having been to many restaurants with average rice. The toro trio, nigiri combo, and hand rolls are some of our favorites. However, it's remarkable how consistent the quality and service are each and every time. No, they do not have the fancy rolls you may find at other establishments, but they do not need them. We are locals and live in the neighborhood locals and visitors should absolutely be dropping by for a meal.
Love this place! I've ordered takeout from here for work before with coworkers and we all enjoyed it! I came back recently with my fiancée. We were craving sushi and wanted something on the East Bay side. It was her first time having it and she really enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable and the fish is so fresh here! We ordered the Toro Trio and a salad to start off with. Then we each got the Sashimi combo which came with 16 pieces of Chef's selection. To top it off, we each ordered a sake flight. Everything was delicious! It is a small place so I recommend making a reservation. A lot of people seem to order ahead of time and pick up their orders right when the restaurant opens. I'm normally not the biggest fan of rice but their rice here is so good! Would definitely come back!
TRULY THE FRESHEST FISH I HAVE EVER HAD. 15/10 Okay, this is a high-quality spot. The dining space is super small, which is why they have a time limit on your meal. It is recommended that you make reservations. The omakase is so, so worth it. It was so fresh and flavorful. I can't say enough good things about it. Their featured cocktails were also delicious! In terms of value, you have to consider the quality. The portions are small, and you can easily spend $120 on dinner for two and leave with some room in your tummy for a couple rounds of drinks elsewhere. Was it worth it? Yes. Would I come back? Also yes.
Best nigiri in the area!! It's a super small restaurant, as most people end up seated at the sushi bar and it gets busy, so I recommend making a reservation. The sushi is melt-in-your-mouth and not fishy at all! I also love that they give you a roll with every nigiri combo (pictured).I ordered the nigiri 7pc. Note that you can't double up (for ex. If you like salmon, you can only get one salmon nigiri, not two). I chose 4 of the fish selections and did chefs choice for the rest. Every single one was so delicious. They do put wasabi in some of the rolls but it's the perfect amount. I can't usually eat wasabi but it was refreshing in this case! The service was super quick and everyone was friendly. I will definitely be coming back!
