This is a perfect place to stop by before your flight for delicious beers and bar food! I was craving chicken tenders and was so glad I came across this place : The chicken fingers had a nice batter to them and were not dry. The garlic fries were also very flavorful and nice garlic-y! What Thien H doesn't like about Gordon Biersch:
Oakland Airport's food is meh. The best I found so far is Gordon Beirsch. They were overcrowded both times, so we couldn't sit there. It's a very small location. We got the chicken tenders and garlic fries to go and shared them between the two of us near the gate. The chicken tenders are very salty. View all feedback.
Pretty much when you're next to Gates 28, 29 directly across), or 30 then you'll basically be closest to viewing if its time to board your plane or not. Sitting at the bar, you can see Gate 29, and if your plane has even arrived. They offer to-go items from their refrigerated section: salad, sandwiches, juice, etc. Or you can order an item from their Hot from the Kitchen menu. Which consists of: Garlic Fries $8) Bratwurst on a bun $8.50) Crispy Chicken Stips $10.50) I had the brat which was OK. Nothing great. I was offered saurkraut and relish. The bartender handed me a condiments tray, and I was impressed with the variety of mustards they have. Washed it all down with a Marzen $8). Service was fine. No issues with the two bartenders helping me. They even came back to ask if I needed anything else. The bar was clean, again no issues. Although dining can be really tight. I'm surprised with the Gordon Biersch name this place isn't larger. But the plus is the two monitors showing the games, and the variety of beers on tap or from a bottle.

This place is not bad! I was waiting for a connecting flight at the Oakland airport and used trusty Yelp to find this place for a light lunch. The food menu is simple: garlic fries, chicken tenders, bratwurst. There are about 5 6 beers on tap, a bunch of bottles, as well as wine. I ordered the garlic fries and a Hefe and both were fantastic. This is a 1 man operation he was literally cooking, pouring beer, taking orders, etc all by himself. It was also pretty busy as well. I am very impressed. Recommend as a great option in Terminal 2!
Small bar at the end of the terminal with 1 tv. Can't beat the location if you've got a gate in the 30s and don't want to walk back to the main terminal area. The food selection is minimal for hot food, including a brat in a bun, chicken strips, and garlic fries. The brat hit the spot for me. There are also some pre-made sandwiches on the fridge. Beer was cold and refreshing and a great way to pass a 30 minute delay. Power outlets are located under the bar.
