Burma Bites - Oakland

Thank you for filling portions and great gluten free fried chicken. Burma bites has become one of my favorite take out places during this pandemic. As a busy artist, I love being able to order and get my food so quickly. Everything I?ve had I reallylike. Yesterday I got mint chicken and it was really great but definitely didn?t taste like it had mint. I added my own freshmint from my garden and it was perfect. Good job Burma Bites. I've been going to Burma since it was one place on Clement St in SF. I was so happy to find them in Oakland when I moved over 4 years ago but I have to say the quality has been in decline over the last couple years. It feels like they are more focused onproduction than quality. Burma Bites was just a step further in that direction... I was expecting single serve portions andpricing but what I got was tough $18 beef curry and a side of pricey coconut rice that was over portioned and not at allsatisfying. I also wanted the Tea Leaf salad but it was sold out and the alternative was like another $18 so I skipped it.

I always crave the walnut shrimp with coconut rice and tea leaf salad. I can't just get one I have to get both!

Basil chicken bowl had no flavor, I asked to make spicy and there was no spice at all. I asked for coconut rice and received jasmine instead and side salad was over dressed. this is the 2nd order I have made in a month and the quality of the food has gone way down.

Food is great, perfect for when you want burma superstar but don't want to wait for a table. Any of the entrees are delicious.
