Unfortunately,... read more With A&W closing in Modesto and living nearby, we decided to visit this restaurant for some fresh root beer in ice-cold mugs, along with a meal. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. They don’t make fresh root beer, and there are no ice-cold mugs—just a soda fountain. Once again, we left feeling let down. It’s unlikely we’ll return.

I often order chicken pot pies, and I've had a disappointing experience three times last year (which feels too frequent to be just a coincidence). On those occasions, the pot pies I received seemed to be the last ones left and had very little gravy, just a few vegetables, and only one small piece of chicken. The pies were almost dried out inside due to the lack of filling. When I called to report this the second time, they simply apologized. The last incident occurred during Christmas week on December 23rd. After picking up my food from the drive-thru to take to my grandkids in Merced, I realized three hours later that there were no spork or napkin included. When I heated the pie in the microwave for a minute and opened it, I discovered I had more crust than filling. Because of these experiences, I haven't returned to the Oakdale location; I'll make the 4.5-mile drive to Riverbank for KFC in the future!

What I received in my order was laughable. How in the world KFC can post amazing pictures of there products and then sale something that that does not represent the product in the slightest is beyond me. The cost and size is not the largest issue. The quality of the food is the biggest factor…

Asked for the large kfc chips in the combo after the lady at the counter showed us the 2 sizes got given the small one when questioned about it this same lady refused to correct the mistake tried to blame a new girl. The new girl didn’t have anything to do with the order. Would not recommend at all.
