South Side Social - Oak Lawn

I went to the restaurant at my reservation time at 2:15pm and the restaurant was CLOSE! The restaurant is in the Hilton hotel so I went to the front desk of the hotel. They told me the restaurant does not open until 4pm and they do not take reservations. I showed the front desk person my confirmation from Ooen Table and she said that must be a mistake. Open Table, please talk to restaurant as I drove 10 miles to go to a restaurant that was closed.

Went here for brunch at 11am, kitchen was down very limited menu. Bar was closed so no mimosas. Stood at the front for 5 mins before someone yelled from across the room to sit wherever. It was just bad. Would not recommend, would not come back.

I had booked a reservation through Open Table at this restaurant because they claimed to be participating in Restaurant Week. However, when we got there, they handed me regular menus, and when I inquired about the Restaurant Week menu I had seen on the website, they said they were not doing that menu that night. The food was pretty decent, but the menu was limited and none of the items were similar to the Restaurant Week menu. My whole experience was kind of ruined by the let down of not getting the meal I was anticipating. I do not know if I will be returning to this restaurant.

Very nice inside. Please don’t let the outside fool you. Inside was very chic. We all enjoyed our food. Definitely going back again.

We had the Sunday brunch. I think it was a little overpriced considering the lack of variety and options available. The buffet was often empty and there was one person doing the carving station, waffles and omelets.
