I recently visited the Red Lobster restaurant on Southwest Highway in Oak Lawn, and it was fantastic! I typically sit at the bar since I usually come in after running errands. Yes, the service was terrible. two hours for lunch is too long. eating was not great either. high prices for super low quality. drinks were tasteless. entrance smells like a lobster tank, like when eating in a lobster. View all feedback.

I ordered the Endless Clam Chowder, Endless Caesar Salad, and Endless Cheddar Biscuits from the lunch menu, and they were all absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad is always very fresh, with high-quality Parmesan cheese and a tasty dressing. The Cheddar Biscuits at this location are consistently served hot and incredibly moist, almost like a delightful pound cake. I always look forward to my dining experience here, as it has become a little outing I truly enjoy. I have a reward to redeem on my next visit, and I can't wait to come back! Great food here!
After about 35 minutes, our salads still hadn’t arrived, so I inquired about them. The server eventually brought out my husband’s and my salad, but my son’s salad was missing. When I asked about it again, the server seemed to vanish, and it never made it to the table. I requested to speak with a supervisor, who was very friendly and acknowledged the issue, mentioning a shortage of biscuits but assuring us he would make things right. Eventually, my son’s salad arrived alongside our main courses — by that point, he had lost interest in it. I also had to ask for more biscuits since they hadn’t come out with our food. When we finally received the biscuits, my dish was disappointing; the lobster tail was dry, and the shrimp scampi was overcooked. My husband and kids’ meals, on the other hand, were prepared correctly. Although the manager did take something off our bill, I want to emphasize that when we go out to eat, we want to enjoy what we ordered without any hassle. While I appreciate the gesture, what I really hope for is an overall improvement in service.
Of course, we were excited for the Cheddar Bay biscuits, but unfortunately, they were dry—almost as dry as Popeyes biscuits! I thought it might have just been a bad batch, so we asked for a fresh one, but they were just as dry. I’m starting to think they might have skipped the garlic butter altogether. On the bright side, my meal was tasty, so I can't complain too much. Overall, I'll definitely be back. They usually have great biscuits, but it seems like today just wasn't their day.
The server didn't pay close attention, and the specials featured on TV were not available.
