Feedback
Guests praise Chiquito's friendly service, desserts and lunch value; reviews also note occasional inconsistent heat and flavour in dishes and rare spirit shortages.
The restaurant really needs to hire new chefs. The dishes are not served hot and do not taste authentic Mexican. A restaurant cannot function properly without skilled chefs. As for the ambience...
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon after contemplating where to eat for a while. I decided to give it a try and we were promptly seated.
My family and I visited this restaurant for lunch on Saturday. We had made a reservation 5 minutes before using my Taste card, but it turned out we probably didn't need to. Our server, Kayleigh, seated us at a good table and provided attentive service throughout our meal. The atmosphere was pleasant, but I found the food to be a bit pricey without the discount from my Taste card. Luckily, the card came in handy! I enjoyed my fajita, while my brother and his partner found the burgers to be mediocre. My mom liked her jambalaya, and my 8-year-old nephew was happy with his kids' menu, especially the ice cream for dessert. Overall, a nice family outing with great service from Kayleigh. I would recommend giving this place a try with a discount. The music was good, and the vibe was relaxed. Thank you, Kayleigh, for taking care of us!
I really enjoy this restaurant. Out of the two Chiquitos in Nottingham, I prefer the one in Lenton. However, this place is still really good. I love the food.
Me, my husband and his brother were staying overnight in Notts to celebrate my birthday in a couple of days and needed something to eat whilst out on the town. We decided on Chiquito as my brother-in-law has never visited one before. Luckily it wasn't busy, as we hadn't booked in advance, and were shown straight to a table. The staff were very polite and friendly and gave us a few minutes to browse the menu before taking our order. We settled on a sharing platter, with added sides of fries and coleslaw. Myself and my husband had mocktails (which were delicious) while his brother stuck to the beer. Food didn't take long to arrive and was hot and tasty. Always love the addition of sombreros for some fun photos!
